Maria Lygnos Interiors

Maria Lygnos has been involved in the World of Art and Design throughout her career. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from The Art Institute of Southern California. In her post-graduate degree studies, Maria earned a certificate in Interior Design from KLC School of Design in London.

 

Maria’s career extends far beyond designing homes. In addition to managing the Lygnos Gallery in Laguna Beach, California in the 1990’s.  Maria is an artist in her own right. Her paintings have featured in exhibitions in major U.S. cities including New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Boston and Los Angeles. She worked for Sotheby’s Auctineers in London as head of the Restoration and Conservation Dept. as well as curating exhibitions for the Sandelson Gallery on Cork St. 

 

Maria also launched two fashion labels, Liggie the essentials and L2 Design from 2005-2011. Her clothing lines included a successful line of kaftans and beachwear.

Maria, also a talented home chef, competed on Masterchef UK season 13 which premiered on BBC 1 in March 2017.

Maria has relocated her business from the United Kingdom to the United States. Maria is focused on bringing her passion and creativity to Sarasota, Florida.  Her worldly approach lends itself to create each clients vision into a reality. Maria’s work can be found around the world. London, Greece, Dubai, Thailand and the U.S.

 

Maria has two boys attending university in the U.K.
